Planting Time For Fall Gardens Now!
It's time now to be putting in those plantings for the fall gardens. You should have already put in more green beans and possibly squash and potatoes for fall. You can be planting turnips, radishes, kale, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, and kohlrabi now and you should get a nice crop before a killing freeze (which is hard to think about in the heat of August in Kansas). You can also plant leeks, onions, and carrots for overwintering. The second season for the garden is now in progress!
