If you would be interested in purchasing organic sweet potato slips, you may order below. If you don't need the minimum 500 plants to make your order, contact me and we'll see if we can split an order with you:
2009 Organic Sweet potato Seed
K-State John C Pair Horticulture Center, Haysville, KS
We are aiming to have sweetpotato slips available from the week of May 25 onward.
Minimum quantity of 500 slips @ $75.00 ($12 for each additional 100).
Quantities of 1000 slips and up @ $65.00 per 1000.
Slips may be picked up at Haysville, near Wichita, or shipped to you for an additional charge (UPS + $5 handling per 1000). Note: We will probably also be able to arrange for pickup from the K-State Horticulture Research and Extension Center, Olathe.

Beauregard (Standard sweetpotato) 250,000 (~20 acres)

Sold Out of 2010 slips
Customers have ordered well over 1,000 Beauregard sweet potato slips this season - over twice as many as last season. We are sold out for 2010. Contact Shepherd's Valley about slip orders for 2011.

2011 Certified Organic Sweet Potato Slips
Shepherd's Valley is again making certified organic sweet potato slips (starts) available to local gardeners for transplant. These slips should be available the first week in June for immediate transplanting. Cost is 25 cents each. We have sold out the previous two years, so please reserve the numbers you want no later than April 1st, by contacting us via e-mail. You will generally need one plant for every foot of row you intend to plant.
