Nationwide Demand For Locally Grown Winter Veggies Increases Empty Nationwide Demand For Locally Grown Winter Veggies Increases

The nationwide demand for locally grown winter veggies is precipitating an increase in high tunnel building and greenhouse growing for many farmers and producers: The demand for locally grown winter veggies has producers putting up high tunnels and expanding their markets: http://pressherald.mainetoday.com/story.php?id=297869
This concept is workable here in Kansas - we just need more producers that will see the opportunities!

High tunnels can pay for themselves in as little as one season and rarely more than two. Local efforts to create a year-round farmers market will need to apply these concepts to be successful.
