Cheap or FREE Seeds Empty Cheap or FREE Seeds

By late summer and into early fall, many supermarkets, hardware stores, lumberyards, farm stores, nurseries, and other retail stores are trying to move out their spring garden products and seed displays, and will mark down the seed packets to 10 cents each or even FREE. Stock up. Those seeds will be viable for next season, although the germination rate may be slightly less than the norm. Put them in a sealed glass canning jar in the back of the refrigerator and wait until planting time. At county fairs across the state, seed packets are often offered FREE to those who promise to plant them. Give them to your school for a school garden, or help a neighborhood community garden get off the ground next season. Little cost, big dividends.
