Blueberries! Empty Blueberries!

Post  Shep on Mon Jul 06, 2009 7:47 am

Here at Shepherd's Valley, we make an annual trek to a nearby U-Pick blueberry farm to pick up fresh and frozen blueberries for our customers. Price is $6/lb. plus tax and the berries come in gallon size plastic bags weighing approximately 6 lbs. each (weights vary somewhat). If you are in the Emporia area and would like to order blueberries, respond via e-mail with your orders and we will notify you when they are ready for pick up.

Last season's customers have already ordered 4 times as many berries as last year - that should tell you how great a deal this is! Blueberry muffins, blueberry pancakes, blueberry smoothies, blueberries in cereal, blueberry jam, these and other recipes found their way onto the tables of many customers last year. But many of the berries never made it home to be added to recipes, because they were eaten out of hand before arriving. We already have orders for nearly 600 lbs. of berries, so if you want to get in on this seasonal opportunity, we need to hear from you now. Order cut-off date is noon, July 10th. Order by the gallon. You can split up your gallon(s) with friends and family. Whole neighborhoods, businesses, and office staff put in blueberry orders last year. Seems everybody LOVES blueberries!
