Blight Disease May Seriously Diminish Eastern U.S. Tomato Crop

Post  Shep on Sun Jul 05, 2009 9:12 pm

Late Blight kills tomato plants, and the northeast has been especially hard hit this season. Big box stores have sold diseased plants across much of the country. It remains to be seen how rare tomatoes will be in mid-summer. One more reason to buy local and buy locally raised bedding plants, as well: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_FARM_SCENE_LATE_BLIGHT?SITE=TXSAE
